Christian College Preparatory Academy

Christian College Preparatory Academy is a program specifically designed by home schoolers for home schoolers. Our goal is to provide challenging supplemental classes and additional educational opportunities that will enhance each child's learning experience. Students may enroll in one or more classes that meet each Thursday. Courses offered by certified, experienced teachers include: art, business , choir, debate, guitar, government, history, literature, logic, math, Spanish, and speech. Established programs offered at CCPA include: Christian Choral Society of Austin, The Language Arts Academy, and Podium Power.

Christian World View Academy

Christian World View Academy offers interdisciplinary instruction to young men ages 14 and up. The director is a home school dad, an attorney by profession, and active in home education instruction. Academy classes include Bible, Literature, History, Government, Economics, Writing, Logic, Math, Science, and Science and Physical Fitness.

Classical Culture
Literature and Writing - Grades 10-12

Classical Culture is an introduction to Great Texts (with Christian perspective) from the ancient world through the 20th century covering the genres of epic poetry, novel, short story, non-fiction, poetry, and the play. Instruction includes literary paper writing and essay test-taking skills with essay test assessments. Mrs. Phillips has an English Education degree from the Univ. of Tennessee @ Chattanooga. For the last 15 years she has home-schooled her two sons; one is a junior at Baylor University in the University Scholars Program and the other an aspiring young artist and high school junior.

College & Career Planning Services (CCPS)

Since 1998, College and Career Planning Services (CCPS) has assisted youth and young adults in developing and executing their own plan for career success. Services range from formal career testing to one-on-one college admissions consulting, and job skills training. Eagle Academies of Texas

Essay Writing for the College Bound of Texas

Mrs. Anderson is a Texas certified teacher with 10 years experience in both public and private education, and a home-schooling mother of two. ECBW offers small group writing workshops for high school students wanting to prepare for college-level writing assignments in all major subject areas.

Faith Academy

Faith Academy is a private, Christian, university-model school that provides upper elementary through high school students with a comprehensive, college-preparatory education. Students register for as many of the academic and elective type courses as they choose. We meet on site 2-3 days a week with the alternate days at home.

Fanning the Flames

Fanning the Flames is offering nearly 30 a la carte classes at Hays Hills Baptist Church for the upcoming school year.  This program is directed by Kim Heideman, a local Christian educator with many years of teaching experience.  The Math Academy, along with other qualified instructors have been added to ensure variety to all ages, while maintaining Christian integrity and quality of learning.

Fountain of Life

Jyoti Milner is a home schooling mother and certified teacher with two Masters degrees and over five years of experience in teaching science. Fountain of Life offers innovative science classes for grades 1-12. We focus on enhancing critical thinking skills in general science, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.

Grammar: The Shurley Method

Mrs. Scott has been teaching THE SHURLEY METHOD since 1998 to not only individual home schoolers but also classes of students and parents alike. The Shurley Method is believed to be the most effective, creative, and enjoyable method of learning English grammar on the market today.

Home School Extension Classes

Home School Extension Classes, Killeen TX, are academic classes geared to middle and high school level home schoolers. All classes are taught by certified and/or degreed teachers with experience in their fields. College prep curriculum is utilized in all our classes preparing our students for academic success beyond home schooling.

Homeschool Enrichment Program Co-op (HEP)

Serving the South Austin/Buda/Manchaca area, this co-op is a ministry of Hays Hills Baptist Church (FM 1626, near Manchaca and Buda). The Language Arts Academy

Learning Fun 101

One Day Academy

Mr. Swarbrick holds degrees in Engineering, Divinity and Math with a minor in education. He has pastored churches and youth programs in the Austin area. The One Day Academy offers home schoolers math and other classes and tutoring at middle and high school levels at several locations

Mathematics Tutoring

Suzy Mahoney has over 10 years experience tutoring students in math. She is a certified math teacher and has taught math at the middle school, high school and junior college levels. Services are offered out of her home in Cedar Park. Suzy holds a Masters Degree in Education and provides all levels of math assistance from basic math to pre-calculus. Podium Power

Marlene Yousef has a BA degree in political science and history and graduate work in theatre and speech. She is a home schooling mom with over 25 years of teaching experience. Podium Power offers speech, debate, government, and history for grades 7-12 at two Austin locations. Speech and debate students have the opportunity to participate in the state NCFCA Speech and Debate Tournament.

Pure Energy

Pure Energy is a new, hands-on middle school program in Round Rock for home school students. Academic & elective classes will be offered one day per week in an all-day setting for 6, 7, & 8 grade students. Success in Algebra

Judy Davis is an experienced teacher and home schooling mother, having taught Kindergarten through Advanced Math. She has taught Algebra in public and private school, and holds a BSEd Mathematics. This teacher blends a technical mind with a sensitive heart and provides individual attention to each student. Classes are offered in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2 .

Science Matters

Science Matters offers quality science education to upper elementary through high school students. Mrs. Stetson is a Texas certified teacher who has taught both science and Home Economics in public schools. She has home schooled her own five children for many years. Science Matters strives to emphasize the wonder of God’s Creation in all the disciplines of science. Through labs, activities, and demonstrations, we bring science to life for young people with a variety of learning styles using curriculum from Apologia Publishing.

Standards of Excellence

Viv Lynn, 13-year homeschool veterans and owns Standards of Excellence, she brings 36 years of teaching experience to serve the Austin homeschool community. She is passionate about the Lord and teaching! She welcomes opportunities to share the love of Christ and integrate biblical principles into all the classes she teaches. She teaches assorted classes in Science, SAT, Logic, and Math tutorials. She is teaching at One Day Academy and other locations.

Summit Christian Academy Home School Program

The Home School Day program offers home schooled students grades K-5 the opportunity to experience a full school day with other home schoolers their age. Each Wednesday students will rotate through extra curricular classes such as Spanish, art, music, PE, drama. The Umbrella program allows students in grades 6-12 to receive academic credit for various individual courses. SCA offers parents a record keeping, achievement testing, report cards, support groups, etc.

Twin Peaks Language Academy

Amy Peek is an experienced teacher and home schooling mother of two sons. She has taught Spanish, French and English in public and private schools. She is very active in her church and community. Her calling is to provide quality supplemental foreign language education to home schooling families.

Sign Language Classes

Texas Certified teacher offering Sign Language classes in NW Austin/ Cedar Park area for homeschoolers. Group classes and private lessons available. I am a Christian.  I have a BS degree in Education and am certified in both general education and  PK-12 Special Education. I have 5 years classroom experience working with special needs students.  I am also the mother of three daughters, one of whom was diagnosed with autism/PDD.  I have been an interpreter for the deaf for 15 years.
