2004 Letters from the Chairman

MANY THANKS - August, 2004

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's 17th Annual CHEACT Home School Educator's Conference and Book Fair. The enormity of this task, and the value it provides to our community is a sight to behold. We had an attendance of over 1500 people, and more booths, vendors and workshops than last year. As you can expect, plans are already well under way for next year...Read the Rest of the LetterBack to top of the pageContinue to June 2004 Letter

BAD COMPANY - June, 2004

Tis' the season! The season for school planning and homeschool fairs. CHEACT's own fair is coming up on June 25-26 and we think it will be a really good one. We have made some changes after hearing from our membership and we are happy to announce that not only will children be allowed, but so also will strollers, rolling luggage and wagons. We on the conference committee hope this makes the conference this year the most enjoyable yet for you. But back to the children...Read the Rest of the LetterBack to top of the pageContinue to May 2004 Letter

ARE WEEKS TURNING INTO MONTHS? - May, 2004

Here at CHEACT, our main concern is that our members will homeschool in such a manner that they will glorify God. Unlike homeschoolers in other states, we are not burdened by such cumbersome requirements as...Read the Rest of the LetterBack to top of the pageContinue to April 2004 Letter

ADULT EDUCATION - April, 2004

As home school parents we focus heavily on educating our children, but it is equally as important for we parents to continue our learning as well. Some time during the month of May, I will enter the field of real estate sales. This will not be until I finish some fairly rigorous study and pass a standardized exam -- the kind designed to "weed out" weaker students. This whole experience has got me focused on adult education.Read the Rest of the LetterBack to top of the pageContinue to March 2004 Letter

FAMILY, CHURCH AND STATE - March, 2004

God has chartered these three institutions. Each has its own purpose and associated obligations. God alone transcends them all, making all subservient to Him, and He has not granted deity to any of them. He has, however, given direction for right standing amongst these institutions. There are right ways for families to relate to the church and to the state, and there are wrong ways.Read the Rest of the LetterBack to top of the pageContinue to February 2004 Letter

SUMMER IS AROUND THE CORNER - February, 2004

Summer may seem like an age away right now, but our conference committee and Board are busy putting together one of the best conferences in CHEACT history. Here is a preview of what you will find. Most of you will recognize the names, Harvey and Laurie Bluedorn.Read the Rest of the LetterBack to top of the pageContinue to 2003 Letter Archives
