18^TH ANNUAL CHEACT SUMMER CONFERENCE AND BOOK FAIR

June 2005

Your conference committee and Board are starting to buzz with last-minute summer conference details. There is a growing excitement as we see this conference taking shape. We are going to unprecedented lengths to get the word out about our conference all across our region. Besides a direct mailing to almost double the households that we have reached in the past, we have just signed a contract to announce this year's conference on ten billboards in the greater Austin area. You will also find a flyer designed for display on your church's bulletin board up on our web site. Please help us get the word out. This year's conference will have plenty to offer!

We have four fantastic speakers lined up to challenge you to raise the bar in your home school and to encourage you to press on. We look forward to hearing Dean and Karen Andreola, Founders of the Present-Day Charlotte Mason Method of Education Movement in North America, and James and Stacy McDonald, publisher and editor of Homeschooling Today and Family Reformation magazines as our Guest Speakers.

James McDonald will be speaking at our Fourth Annual Father's Breakfast at Pok-E-Jo's BBQ on Saturday morning of the conference. This session is strictly for men only, but if you have a hard time splitting up your family so your husband can attend the breakfast, Stacy McDonald will be sharing with women and children in another room at Pok-E-Jo's at the same time. Have a child with ADD or a learning disability of some type? We are bringing in Texas Special Kids whose mission is to serve families who have children with special educational and/or developmental concerns. Find out more at txspecialkids.org, and be sure to check out their booth at the conference this year.

Children in middle school and high school? Running out of ideas, or want to make sure they will be on their way when you are done? We have designed a Teen Track of speakers this year. Every seminar time slot will have at least one session designed just for parents of teens and the teens themselves. We want you to succeed in your home school all the way through. Special planning efforts were made to encourage you at this year's conference.
